Summer Speed Cards

I don't really know how time seems to flyby so quickly. Life gets busier, the boys require more attention and I fall further behind. It is inconceivable that I haven't posted since February, so I won't even acknowledge it.

So on that note, I'll share with you the cards we made in summer speed cards. Had a great time celebrating all the fun aspects warm weather brings. Enjoy!

Valentine's Day at Our House

Me:
"Let's go to Sunflower Market and get lobster tails for Daddy for dinner tonight."

Lasson:
"NO WAY! I hate monster tails."

Well, that's how the day started on Valentines. Little Lasson showing me over and over why he is one of the three people I love most in this world. Thought I'd share our table setting for the day, unfortunately there are no actual dinner pictures. Got so wrapped up in timing the tails correctly and broiling the fish (Tilapia for the boys, no monster tails wasted), that I forgot to pick up the darn camera. One of these days I'll get the hang of this blogging and have professional grade photos for every step. (Wink, wink).

I will share the link for our dessert, because it was soooo good! And it was amazingly easy. Warn you that just a spoonful or two will do, it's so decadent! Enjoy today or file away for a special anniversary or birthday.

Cupid's Arrow

Ssshhh, can you keep a secret? I just spent the last 5 hours painting and decorating this little cutie for my little sweetie pie, Josh. I just couldn't keep him under wraps for any longer. He's chubby, darling and bald as a billiard ball (no offense Warren). He's offering his heart and throwing in a bunch of ruby red roses to sweeten the deal. Hopefully he'll snap the heart of my dear husband.

But it does remind me of a poem from a card a dear friend gave me years ago. It goes:
May Cupid's arrow be swift and sleek.
May you not end up with a total geek.

Truth be told there is more than a little geek in my sweet JOSH, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Here's to our eighteen Valentine's days together.

I LOVE YOU, BABY!

Day of Love

Well, we were "Love Struck" yesterday at Simple Pleasures. Spent the day with a lovely group of ladies creating all kinds of Valentine crafts. Some old friends and made some new ones. We started the day with mini cards and tags and ended with a mini photo album. In between we crated cards, a sweet candy box, a delightful pail of flowers, shared some lunch and had too many laughs to count. I'll share the pictures here so you can get a glimpse of our day. (And maybe those that didn't finish can get them done.)
